A red rose absorbs all the colours of the spectrum, especially around the blue (faster) end of the vibration scale, and reflects its (slower) redness back to us, so that we see it as "red".
So we, as humans-being, absorb what we will
And reflect back upon others what we choose, unconsciously, not to absorb.
Similarly, we see others refracted
Through coloured spectacles of our own making and choosing.
If we see our world through "rose-coloured spectacles",
The reds will appear to be even redder,
And the blues will turn a drab grey, and may disappear altogether.
We decide.
Unconsciously.
When we were very, very young,
Without thinking about it,
We began filtering and colouring our experience
When we got frightened
To see, and be seen, as-is.
It was our way of protecting our selves.
But we got used to the hues and assumed that the world really is just as we now see it.
How good is the news
That we're mistaken about that??!
The filters we put over our seeing
Limit what we knowingly see.
Our unconscious filtering decides for us what it will allow us to see.
(And in our ignorance we're so sure we see all, just as it is!!)
Our past decisions now "decide" us:
We are now the unknowing, unwitting victims
Of our own limiting, filtering programming.
Become aware.
Remember that we do not see --
We think that we see,
And it is the "thinking about" that is the problem.
Awareness is enough.
Remember the filters....
In awareness, the filters will gradually dissolve
So that we can absorb more of it all
And see more clearly.
