THE GREAT "COMMANDMENTS"

Honour your mother and father.
Love the lord godness of all being.
Love your neighbour as your self.

What if.........
These gems of understatement
Were not originally dished out
As guilt-inducing, punishable standing orders,
But offered as optional signposts to a higher level of perception
And more effective ways of being and living?
What if they were not exhortations to obey,
But a revelation
And an acknowledgment of a state of affairs
That already is?????

You cannot love God and reject any part of yourself,
Or anyone or anything else.
If you think you can,
That's not God you're looking at.

We already honour our parents -- by becoming them.
We already love our neighbours exactly as we love the facets of ourself that they mirror back to us.
When we love God, who are we loving,
If not all things and all people that God is?
(Including ourselves).
