Some of us live in the past (resentment)
And occasionally visit the future
To predict yet more doom and gloom.
Others of us live in the future (hope)
And occasionally visit the past for justification.
The Present is like one of those little towns
We speed through in transit:
If we blink, we miss it.
Truth is, of course,
Whether we're stuck with our heads in the Past or the Future,
We're doing it Now -- in the Present
And we miss it.
