What follows are a few thoughts that popped
While musing....
Each strikes me as a truth,
To which there may be an equally valid converse,
So none is the whole truth.......
Just another way of looking at.
Work is something we do
When we'd rather be doing something else.
As long as we are physically and emotionally capable,
And mentally alive,
We have a responsibility to our own growth and learning
And consequently the growth and learning of all existence,
To do all that we can.
We work because we can, and because there is work to be done.
We work because working works.
We work because it is a basic human need.
We work because other people need our help.
We recruit others because we have something they're looking for, and it is our need to give it away.
We work because it's a great way to express and share who we are.
When you work -- work like you own the business.
If you get in to something -- get in all the way.
If you can't get in all the way -- get all the way out; you're just occupying someone else's space. Find your own.
It's not the job that matters,
It's how we see our self in the job.
And that's entirely up to each of us.
There are wealthy people and poor people who all do what I do;
One of the differences is that the poor ones are flat out making a living,
While the rich ones are enthusiastic about designing a life.
My various occupations provide me with opportunities
To express different aspects of my being:
But I have to play my part.
An arena without players is just architecture.
- If you can see a need, you're elected.
- You're never offered an opportunity until you're ready to grow into it.
- Without long-range vision, you're prone to short-term derailments.
- Circumstances and others may slow you down temporarily, but only you can stop you permanently.
- If you wait until all the traffic lights are green before you start your journey, you'll never get started.
- Have a map, and make it OK to improvise as you go along.
