REFLECTIONS

Where am I?

Here

Where are you?

There.
Where do I know about you?

Here in me.

Where do you know about me?

There in you.

Where do I know about God?

Here in me.

Where do you know about God?

There in you.
Then you know me in you,
And I know about you in me.
Then you are in me,
And I am in you.
And God is in you,
And God is in me.
We are both made of the same stuff.
So where is the difference?

Ego is like one wave of the ocean saying to another wave of the same ocean
"I am going to be bigger, better, stronger, faster and smarter than you."
Then comes the shoreline.
All the waves dissolve;
And the ocean remains.

Some observations about waves --
  • All waves are of the same stuff
  • All waves are connected by the stuff they're made of
  • All waves are temporary. The ocean remains
  • All waves exist only with the support of the ocean, and all the other waves.
  • All waves arise from, and exhibit turbulence and perturbation. The ocean doesn't mind.
How does your ego feel about all that?
